Current Sunday Topics
The Current sermon series: Cultures in Conflict: A Study of 1 Corinthians

I hope you are planning to join us this Sunday to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior. We have a very special service planned with videos, lots of music and a message from 1 Corinthians 15 which teaches about the meaning and importance of the resurrection.
Because so many of the congregation will be participating in the service we will not be able to offer nursery care for the small children on Sunday. Parents are welcome to take children to the nursery or to stay in the service if they choose.
Men, don’t forget the Men’s Fellowship at 8AM on Saturday. We will be viewing the second part of a 2 part video we stared last month on evidence for creation. It promises to be a great time to relax and enjoy fellowship with other men.
Spend some time reading the passage of scripture below in which Paul gives a clear explanation of why belief in the literal, bodily resurrection of the Lord is so important.
1. (1 Corinthians 15:1) What did Paul want to declare (remind) to the Corinthians believers?
2. (1 Corinthians 15:2) What could this gospel do for them if they kept it in their memory (held firmly to it) ( see also Romans 1:16)?
3. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) What are the three significant points of the gospel as presented in these verses?
4. (1 Corinthians 15:5-7) What further evidence does Paul give to prove the resurrection of Christ?
5. (1 Corinthians 15:8) Who was the last to see Christ?
6. (1 Corinthians 15:9) Why did Paul feel that he was not worthy to be called an apostle?
7. (1 Corinthians 15:10) To what did Paul attribute anything which he had accomplished?
8. (1 Corinthians 15:12) What were some in Corinth saying about the resurrection of the dead?
9. (1 Corinthians 15:13-14) What would be the value of Paul’s preaching if Christ had not been raised from the dead?
10. (1 Corinthians 15:15-18) What would be our fate is Christ were not resurrected?
11. (1 Corinthians 15:19) What would be the condition of believers if their hope was only for this lifetime.
I look forward see you all this Sunday as we celebrate the resurrection together as members of the Body of Christ,
