Grace Church is a caring congregation seeking to help everyone reach full potential as a follower of Jesus Christ. We accomplish this goal by being Bible-based, Christ-centered and people focused.

Grace Church will provide the opportunity for you  to grow in your relationship with God and be guided toward the realization of His will for your life.

Bible-based. Grace Church provides opportunities for you to learn about God and His plan for your life through the study of His revealed truth for us found in the Bible.

Christ-centered.  Grace Church will seek to encourage you to develop a deeper and more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord.

People focused.  At Grace Church you will be treated as a special and unique individual.

Our History

Grace Church is a non-denominational fellowship that was organized in 1945.  From 1949 until 2012 the congregation was located on the near southeast side of Indianapolis. The church began meeting in Franklin Township in late 2012 and since February 2015 we worship in our new facility at 5605 S. Franklin Rd. (directly across from the Franklin Road library).

Our Worship Style

Our worship is personal and comfortable. Formal dress is not required. We have a balanced blend of traditional and contemporary elements in our services.

Our Ministry Activities

In addition to our Sunday morning worship service we have adult small groups (Growth Groups) that currently meet the first and third Sunday evenings for Bible study and fellowship, a monthly men's breakfast and women's fellowship. We have a meal together each month that has a fifth Sunday. Other outreach and fellowship activities are also organized by the church.

Our Pastor
Don Sommer is the pastor of Grace Church.  He was born and raised in Wisconsin and has lived in Indianapolis since 1998.  He has been married to Susan since 1984 and together they have two grown children.

Don received his biblical and theological training from Grace Bible College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Don and Sue Sommer served as missionaries to the Philippines for 13 years.  Don was the director of Prison Mission Association from 2001 to 2010. 

Don has been the pastor of Grace Church since March 2009.  He is committed to the spiritual growth of the congregation through expository preaching and teaching of the Bible as God’s inspired Word.
